چکیده
Background and AimsInflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), encompassing Crohn’s disease (CD) ulcerative colitis (UC), are chronic disabling disorders. Prospective disease-modification trials to prevent progression eagerly awaited. However, is not clearly defined. The objective of the Selecting End PoInts foR Disease-ModIfication Trials (SPIRIT) initiative was achieve international expert consensus on endpoints be used in future IBD-disease modification trials.MethodsThis under auspices International Organization for Study Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IOIBD) began with a systematic literature search evaluate current evidence definition IBD. On October 22, 2019, meeting took place during United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW) Congress Barcelona, which predefined proposed statements were discussed plenary session voted anonymously. Agreement defined as at least 75% participants voting any one statement.ResultsThe group agreed that ultimate therapeutic goal both CD UC impact patient’s life (health-related quality life, disability, fecal incontinence), midterm complications (encompass damage CD, IBD-related surgery hospitalizations, extension UC, extraintestinal manifestations, permanent stoma, short syndrome), long-term (gastrointestinal dysplasia or cancer, mortality).ConclusionsRecommendations goals preventing patients IBD by SPIRIT consensus. these recommendations will require validation actual clinical studies before implementation trials. Neonatal Presentation of Unremitting Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Very-early-onset inflammatory bowel disease (VEO-IBD) has a distinct phenotype and should be considered a specific entity. VEO-IBD presents with very severe clinical pictures and is frequently known by an indeterminate colitis whose clinical remission is unmanageable. This study examines the case of a neonate with VEO-IBD, not responding to medical and surgical treatment. A 7-day-old Iranian fe...

Many disease-specific QOL tools have been developed recently. The McMaster Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire (IBDQ) is one of them. The aim of this study was to translate into Persian and eval...

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) including most important forms; Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC); are chronic diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract with unclear etiology and pathology. The role of gut microbiota has recently been considered as major a factor, since altered microbiome or "dysbiosis" is a key player in the protracted course of inflammation in IBD. Howeve...

Objective: This paper tries to address whether there is any value to test for auto-antibodies in such patients. Methods: 60 patients with inflammatory bowel disease unclassified participated in the study. Auto-antibodies to nuclear antigen, intestin...
